My Five in Christ

Good people,

Happy new year!

I hope all is well with you and your dear ones.

This is me practicing for my back-to-office emails once I resume duty.

So much has happened since my last article; my blog turned 5 years old, I gave the blog a facelift and redesigned the #SpreadTheGospel logo. Pretty neat huh?

And you know what’s neater? I did this on my own (of course through Christ) without hiring a designer or coder to make the enhancements I’ve just mentioned.

I have also been traveling quite a bit the last two months and I love it! Covid-19 slowed the traveling curve for me for 2020 and a bit of 2021; then in 2022, God reopened those doors for me. As for 2023, I was full on airborne mode! I also made some new friends in-flight just like I did with Baraka and Fanaka back in 2017.

I joined Rick (left) and Natalie (right) for a walk through Kibera slum, the day after we met on the Dubai-Nairobi flight on 11th Dec 2023.

This year marks my tenth year of blogging in entirety but for SpreadTheGospel, the journey began after I got born again. Prior to salvation, I would write about my party life and random stuff.

By God’s grace, the last five years of spreading the Gospel have been interesting to say the least. When commemorating my first blog-i-versary, I did mention that living your life as a letter worth reading is not easy. Especially when people are literally reading it on your own blog.

Clearly, you are a letter from Christ showing the result of our ministry among you. This “letter” is written not with pen and ink, but with the Spirit of the living God. It is carved not on tablets of stone, but on human hearts.

2 Corinthians 3:3 NLT

I have shared some of my most vulnerable moments with you, my readers, and that was not easy at all. However, through that, many reached out to me with their own personal struggles and we were able to pray together and walk together.

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us

2 Corinthians 1: 3-4 NLT

In the last five years of blogging; souls have come to Christ, others have rededicated their lives to God, some got encouraged, some found a friend in me and the list is endless. As you read this, please do not think that I have reached the epitome of being a born again Christian; far from it. Yes I have gone to Bible School, yes I serve in the worship team, yes I am an evangelist but I need God’s grace every day just like everyone else. I stumble and falter just like everyone else.

I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. For I do not do the good I want to do, but the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing.

Romans 7:15, 19 NIV

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Matthew 6:13 NIV

It is now 4:30 am and I haven’t slept yet so my eyelids are getting heavier with each word I type. I also have an activity-filled day ahead of me so I need to catch a few winks before I get crackin’. I had to push myself to publish this article today because a) ideally, my fifth blog-i-versary post should have been published in December last year (2023) but I was out traveling and having a great time. Hihihi!

b) today’s 13th and I have a knack for odd numbers 🙂

However, I did make the revamp announcement on social media on time if I do say so myself. Aaaaand, it was preceded with a 3 day countdown to boot! [flips hair]

If you are not born again, and would like to join the Christ side of life, please recite the prayer below:

Dear Lord,

Thank You for dying on the cross for me. I believe in my heart that you died and rose again and I confess with my mouth that You are Lord and Saviour in my heart and in my life. I denounce my former ways and choose to be Your child. Thank You for setting me free. I am now born again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for reading till the very end. I am off to sleep now. ❤

Be good okay? 🙂

God loves you more than you can fathom. ❤

XO,

That Lady
