Sweet Children of God!!!! 😃😃
How’s it going??
Happy Friday to you!
My bestie asked me to tip her whenever I write my articles but that will be quite a task since most of the writing is birthed during my devotion. This is usually a private time between God and I. It’s a very special time. I don’t write for writings’ sake. God places the message in my spirit and then gives me the words to express it. Each blog post is an impartation unto each reader by the Spirit of the Lord.
Secondly, I write in the wee hours of the morning or late in the night when I’m alone so I can’t quite give you a method on how I do it. The Holy Spirit is not a method.
If I was to ask Apostle Paul how he wrote his epistles; would he have an answer? All his letters were inspired by the Holy Spirit so I doubt Paul could say “I write my letters while watching the sunset as I sip some tea…” However, I am cognizant of the fact that God can use external stimuli such as sunsets to inspire a message.
I was listening to Worship music as I was journaling when this particular song caught my attention. I had already put my pre-selected playlist on YouTube but this particular song wasn’t in my set list and I knew that because I’m those people who listen to the same songs over and over again and I know my playlists almost by heart if I could say.
The first four words of the song really drew me in! “Be revealed in me…” and that immediately reminded me of 2 Corinthians 2:15; the anchor scripture for this #SpreadTheGospel Ministry.
“Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing.”
2 Corinthians 2:15 NLT
My desire is for Christ to be revealed in and through me; that each and every word that proceeds from me whether in speech or in writing, will bring people closer to God. I desire for my life to be an advertisement for Christ. The sweet aroma of Christ, the very fragrance of Christ!
“I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm!”
Ephesians 1:19-20 TPT
The second thing about this song that tugged at my heart was the piano intro.. oh so sweet! When the songs gets to 15th second, the bass comes in ever so subtly yet so powerful at the same time. I love bass. 🎶 My oh my! I like my heels high and my bass down low.😎 I have a knack for good sound and I am in the process of getting a surround system for my home…😃 Also, I am looking forward to receiving my 30-Watt, high-definition stereo sound, portable bluetooth speakers with a sub-woofer this coming week! That means I’ll be jammin’ anywhere, any time!
In the meantime, I put on my headphones whenever I want to listen intently to the various moving parts of a song.
It’s very easy to listen to the treble but you need to be a little more keen when listening to the bass because.. you know… it’s low 😎 if you know what I’m saying. 😉
Now that we have the sweet bass on cue, the voices harmoniously weave in at the beat; perfectly completing the missing piece. I knew immediately that this song would be on replay… and it was!
Most importantly, the ministration of the Holy Spirit through the lyrics cannot go unmentioned… “Tongues of fire fall…Mighty rushing wind blow…Spirit pray, pray to The Father” The Spirit behind the song is what is most important. The worshipper, Elijah Oyelade, then punctuates the song by speaking in tongues and inviting the Holy Spirit to touch people’s lives.
This is more than a song, it’s a worship session.
“Let divinity swallow up humanity” such powerful words! 💥 💥
I reiterate this time and again, that the words you listen to and the words you speak forth have the power to change situations around and within you so choose them wisely.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Proverbs 18:21 (KJV)
Even so the tongue is a little member, and it can boast of great things. See how much wood or how great a forest a tiny spark can set ablaze!
James 3:5 (AMPC)
We can’t afford to listen to anything or to anyone; we have to filter these words through the Word of God and the Holy Spirit. Have a look at the lyrics below:
Be revealed in me
Jesus shine your light
Life of God in me
You are glorified
Rise up from within
Let the whole world see your face
Tongues of fire fall .
Life of God in me
You are glorified
Rise up from within
Let the whole world see your face
Mighty rushing wind blow .
Mighty wind blow Let it Blow
Spirit pray, pray to The Father
Abba Father
God willing, when I launch my YouTube channel (pray for me), this song will be my theme song! In the meantime, watch the song below:
God loves you!
XO,
That Lady.
I love that you filter what you listen to through the power of the Holy Spirit. What we listen to and say are very important.
