I Ate A Whole Jar of Peanut Butter!

How’s it going?

Are you keeping up with your New Year Resolutions or have you forgotten them already?

Those who know me really well can attest my love for peanuts (and all kinds of nuts) and their respective butters. Nuts are my all time favorite go-to snack; they may as well double up as my staple food. I once nicknamed a person Peanut and that meant that we were very close; and I mean really, really close to me… Ahem!

Now, this year, I wanted to reduce my nut-intake but erm… let’s just say that we can always revise some goals here and there…😅 I was doing fairly well in January and one of the strategies I put in place in order to achieve this goal was that I ceased buying nuts. The Bible says that if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off; right? So that meant that I needed to keep nuts off my sight so that I don’t yield to the temptation of eating them.

Granted that I stopped buying nuts or even making them at home but something interesting happened… People started giving me nuts! 😂 My colleagues would offer me nuts in their packets and all the while I wondered why these offers weren’t there last year! 😫

Sooooooo, I kinda started eating nuts bit by bit. Then came the mother of all things [drum roll]

PEANUT BUTTER!!

I literally eat peanut butter… no kidding! I stopped buying peanut butter before I even stopped buying peanuts because my appetite for the butter was erm… nuts! 😂

Last week, my colleague introduced me to a certain lady who prepares peanut and sesame butters. I ordered a 200g tub of both butters thinking it would last me a month but lo and behold… one week later, a total of 400g of sesame and peanut butter has gone down the drain of my throat!

Somebody hold me baaaaaack!!

Needless to say, it was delicious… Yum!😋

So where am I going with this whole story? Am I going nuts? 😂
