What’s happening good people?
Have you had something to eat yet? 🙂
I am so happy today!
I woke up all giddy and goofy and I am totally loving this energy. Thank you Holy Spirit! ❤
Once upon a time, not too long ago, I travelled to a land yonder, to the Western Coast of our beautiful African continent. When there, I met this very interesting young man. We had texted a couple of times via WhatsApp. I had heard of him and he knew of me, but we had never met in person. Bro-ski was quite nonchalant but that script soon came to change. Here’s what transpired…
Prior to my travel, I had reached out to him and few friends of mine in that country to let them know that I was going to be in their area code soon. I had very little expectations of meeting him because…. he’s Mr. Nonchalant, remember? To the people I told of my soon-to-be arrival, they were ecstatic and made plans to see me and show me around town….
…..but that was not the case for this young lad. He simply acknowledged my message and told me that he would let me know if he was going to be in town on the envisioned dates, but he had no hang out plan.
Fast forward to the time I was in his country….
There is a mutual friend to Mr. Nonchalant and I (we did not know we had a mutual friend at the time) who proposed to take me to dinner after my trip to the field. I obliged. Earlier that afternoon, Mr. Nonchalant had called to ask whether he could come to my hotel to say hello. Erm…. Boring. I am an outdoors person so what would I be doing indoors in a foreign country? I’d be out and about trying out new cuisines and enjoying the sights and sounds the country had to offer. His suggestion did not sound too tantalizing so I invited him to the dinner instead. Hehe! I invited him (Mr. Nonchalant) and a couple of other folks so it became a get together. 🙂 I was not sure whether he would show up but I had invited him nonetheless.
My friends took me to the beach front where we enjoyed heart-warming, rib-cracking conversations under the beautiful, pitch-black, moon-lit sky. I was having a great time.

Thereafter, we went to an exquisite Italian restaurant for dinner and to continue with the good times. My friends were all present at the dinner but Mr. Nonchalant was absent. Well, I was not fazed by it because, as mentioned, my expectations of/from him were low.
As the laugher-filled conversations carried on, the waiter gently interrupted us and requested to add an extra chair to our table since we had one more person joining us. Guess who it was? You’re right… it was Mr. Nonchalant! He walked in with a thunder and brought the conversation to a stand still. He had everyone’s eyes glued on him. There he was, the personification of tall, dark and handsome. The waiter sat him at the edge of table but he refused to sit there. He said he wanted to sit next to the person who made God’s prophecy come to pass in his life [who in the world says that?]. Little did I know that that person was me. He wanted to sit next to me.
Okaaaay. And sat he did, next to me, he was. Mr. Nonchalant had worn a T-shirt with a Bible verse inscribed on it, “We faint not.” I liked it. We carried on with the conversations and the night became light; the laughter intensified and the warm night became even warmer.
At the back of my mind, I wondering what the prophecy was and how I made it come to pass; or whether Mr. Nonchalant was just making fun. I eventually asked him about it, and turns out…. it was true!
At this point, you are probably wondering who Mr. Nonchalant is, what the prophecy was about, and why you are reading about him in the first place…
I will tell you or better yet, HE will tell you all about that in the next article. Stay tuned! 😉
Hey, hey, hey…. quick one before you leave, are you born again? If yes, that’s awesome! If not, wanna join us on the saved side of life? 😉 You won’t regret it.
The requirement is so simple; if you believe in your heart that Jesus Christ is Lord and you want Him to be Your Saviour, please recite the prayer below:
Dear Lord,
Thank You for dying on the cross for me. I believe in my heart that you died and rose again and I confess with my mouth that You are Lord and Saviour in my heart and in my life. I denounce my former ways and choose to be Your child. Thank You for setting me free. I am now born again. In Jesus’ Name, Amen
See? Not bad, huh? 😉
Catch you later!
XO,
That Lady
