I pray that the words that proceed from my mouth bring peace, comfort and reassurance to all those who listen to me.
You are loved. ❤️
That’s the tweet I posted on 20th November, 2018 at 00:29
Yes, I am those people whose minds are alert in the wee hours of the morning.
That’s the time I read, write, meditate, sing, dance and everything else in between.
The wee hours of the morning are special. There are no phone calls interrupting my flow of thoughts and no WhatsApp messages to respond to. I have the time all to myself.
I should write an ode to the wee hours of the morning. There’s something so beautiful about this time.
“For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning.”
Psalms 30:5 NKJV
“Early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left [the house], and went out to a secluded place, and was praying there.”
MARK 1:35 AMP
I’ve been going through my social media timeline and I noticed that there’s been a lot of despondency from the people that I follow. I’ve been reading lots of posts about grief, loss, separation, mental illness, depression, heartbreak from close friends, acquaintances, strangers, media personalities and so forth.
My heart goes out to them. I earnestly pray for them.
I pray that God uses me as a vessel to reach out to them and minister the comfort of the Holy Spirit to them.
“ Through [Amanda], God brings knowledge of Christ. Everywhere she goes, people breathe in the exquisite fragrance. Because of Christ, [Amanda] gives off a sweet scent rising to God, which is recognized by those on the way of salvation—an aroma redolent with life. …”
2 Corinthians 2:14-16 MSG
I love the MSG version of 2 Corinthians 2:15; you can read it here
I personalized the verse and inserted my name because that is my desire; to be the fragrance of Christ to those who are perishing.
I am always moved whenever I read a story of pain, anger, desperation or any emotion that is the opposite of joy. My heart grieves when I read such posts.
“Oh Lord, help them. Let them know that you love them and care so deeply for them. As they post their grievances, heartache, pain and despondency on social media; Father I pray that they learn to cast their burden unto You for only You can turn our mourning into dancing. It is only you who gives us beauty for ashes.
Ebenezer. Adonai. You reign on high.
Touch them Lord. Let your personal touch be felt through the words that you place in my mouth.
Father, touch them; each and every person going through a hard time.
I pray for them in the Mighty Name of Jesus. Amen.”
So I told the Lord to speak through me via any and every avenue He deems fit; be it through social media platforms, outreach missions, social gatherings and so on; I pray that people will feel the love of Christ whenever they listen to me.
“Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.”
Colossians 4:6 NKJV
“The words of a wise man’s mouth are gracious, ….”
Ecclesiastes 10:12 NKJV
This is such a ripe opportunity to spread the Gospel of peace among the people!
“because a great door for effective work has opened to me, ….”
1 Corinthians 16:9 NIV
To each person reading this post and is going through a trying time; I encourage you to cast your cares unto the Lord. It is not a cliché; it is a reality.
“casting all your cares [all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully].”
1 PETER 5:7 AMP
“Cast your burden on the LORD [release it] and He will sustain and uphold you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken (slip, fall, fail).”
PSALM 55:22 AMP
There’s an overwhelming peace that the Lord grants unto us when we surrender everything to Him.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!”
Isaiah 26:3 NLT
“And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours].”
PHILIPPIANS 4:7 AMP
Jesus slept in the midst of tempest whereas His disciples were in a frenzy; panicking and worrying about their lives but Jesus rebuked the storm.
“But as they were sailing, He fell off to sleep. And a whirlwind revolving from below upwards swept down on the lake, and the boat was filling with water, and they were in great danger. And the disciples came and woke Him, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing! And He, being thoroughly awakened, censured and blamed and rebuked the wind and the raging waves; and they ceased, and there came a calm. And He said to them, [Why are you so fearful?] Where is your faith (your trust, your confidence in Me–in My veracity and My integrity)? And they were seized with alarm and profound and reverent dread, and they marveled, saying to one another, Who then is this, that He commands even wind and sea, and they obey Him?”
Luke 8:23-25 AMPC
If there’s a storm you’re facing right now, I’d like to reassure you that God can rebuke the raging seas. God can restore your broken heart. God can heal you. God can and God will. Is there anything too hard for The Lord? Do you think that God doesn’t empathize with us? He does. Jesus empathized with Mary and Martha and He wept. Yes, Jesus wept.
“Jesus saw her weeping, and he saw how the people with her were weeping also; his heart was touched, and he was deeply moved. “Where have you buried him?” he asked them. “Come and see, Lord,” they answered. Jesus wept. “See how much he loved him!” the people said.”
John 11:33-36 GNT
God knows your every thought, He sees your every tear and He longs to console you; He longs to embrace you and comfort you. God cares. All He wants is for you to let Him in.
““Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”
Revelation 3:20 NLT
God is calling out for you; He is reaching out telling you, “Come to me; I love you. Let me wipe away your tears. Let me take away your pain. Come to me my child; I love you with an everlasting love. Come to Me my child. Come to Me; your loving Father.”
“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.””
Matthew 11:28-30 NKJV
❤️
I’d love for you to establish a relationship with the Father. This is done by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
If you’d like to make this life-altering decision (which is the absolute best ever!); please repeat the prayer below out loud:
Lord Jesus, I heed to your call in my life. I denounce the devil and my evil ways and I choose You to be Lord and Savior in my life. I believe in my heart that You died on the cross to set me free. I believe that You rose again from the dead so that I may have eternal life. I receive the life of Christ in me today. I am saved. I have been set free. I am born again. Thank You Jesus. Hallelujah! In Jesus’ Name.
Amen.
Congratulations for saying that prayer!
You’re now born again!
I reiterate; this is the best decision you’ve made in your life! 🙌🏽
